February Newsletter
Dear Clients, Friends, and Neighbors,

Happy Valentine’s Day! February is the month of love, presidents, vaccines, Black history, and hopefully more inventory.

January 2021 was the strongest January on record with 318 units and $457,500,000 in total Marin sales. That compares to 235 units and $345,200,000 in 2020, and 203 units and $266,650,000 in 2019. February 2021 contracts are already over 2020 and we are less than halfway through the month. The $3M - $6M range is on fire. Fifty percent of the current 256 listings are in contract, and 60% of that 50% are under $2M.

Though the San Francisco market has seen a resurgence of the real estate market, Marin County will continue to benefit from the exodus of wealthy buyers from the City and the Silicon Valley. In 2020, the median single-family home in Marin County increased 12% to $1,475,000. Millennials will continue to drive more of the high-end market. Millennial buyers want larger outdoor spaces with pools, more square footage with larger kitchens, and updated amenities and technology.

Our team is hard at work preparing our spring listings, and finding opportunities for our buyers. My bi-weekly Zoom calls with other top luxury agents have proven to be invaluable for promoting our clients’ listings before they hit the market, and for assisting our buying clients with getting access to off-market properties.

We have the pleasure of working with some extraordinary strategic partners who share the same trust, integrity, and high touch level of service that our team strives to provide. Tom Warner of Thomas Warner Wine Cellars has been custom crafting elegant wine environments for over 25 years. Tom and his team have created wine spaces in some of the most beautiful homes in the United States. Now for a limited time, Tom is offering our clients, neighbors, and friends a complimentary review and consultation valued at $2,500. More about this terrific opportunity can be found below.

Wishing you all a great month. It is my hope that we are back in our office soon. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces. News flash! - we have new CHC Team Yeti swag (wine tumblers!) that we would love to share.

Best wishes,
