For over 53 years, Alaimo Group has provided engineering and planning services throughout New Jersey and in the neighboring states of Pennsylvania and Delaware. We are one of the few firms that specialize in work for the public sector, thus avoiding any appearance of conflict in providing service to our clients. Our firm is a composite of civil, sanitary, environmental, planning, structural, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineering individuals. We have experienced continued growth in the number of people and the range of disciplines represented, and the capabilities of our professional and support staff. We now have 110 employees, including thirty registered engineers, surveyors, planners, and scientists and four registered architects. These design professionals are supported by technicians, designers, drafters, survey and mapping teams and field services representatives. In the last fifty-three years, Alaimo Group designed and provided construction administration services for projects with a total estimated construction value more than $10 billion dollars.

Celebrating Engineers Week
2022 Theme: Reimagining the Possible
Engineers Week was founded in 1951 by NSPE with the goal of calling attention to the contributions that engineers make to society. That goal now includes outreach to young students and a call to engage, educate, and inspire more children and young adults to consider a career in engineering.
Looking ahead, we will celebrate Engineers Week: Reimagining the Possible (February 20-26). NJSPE collaborates with members and leaders to celebrate how engineers make a difference in our world. We ask that you as NJSPE leaders add your voice to the conversation about the need for engineers, technicians, and technologists and showcase engineering to students in your community. Make sure to review the details below on how you can spread the word and celebrate this incredible PE community.
In addition, Girl Day will be celebrated during Engineers Week on February 24. As a PE and NJSPE leader, inspire a girl’s future by being a role model or introducing a girl to engineering. We encourage you to take this opportunity to show them how engineers change our world. You can make a difference in a girl’s life.
Promoting Diversity and Tomorrow’s Engineer
Reimagining the Possible During Engineers Week: As a member of the DiscoverE coalition, NSPE’s mission includes outreach to young students and a call to engage, educate, and inspire more children and young adults to consider a career in engineering. NSPE recently updated its Engineers Week web page to include information and links to all of the various programs happening for this year’s celebration.
This page provides access to downloadable resources for individuals, state societies, and chapters to assist in planning and promoting events. Some of these items include program logos, ads, printable posters, and an Engineers Week Zoom background featuring the NSPE and DiscoverE logos. A comprehensive social media toolkit (with sample posts, graphics, and relevant hashtag information) was recently posted in the “State and National Leaders” Community, which will also be updated with information on new events as details become available.
