Happy February and Black History Month!

We heard from many of you about needing more time with the Production Workshop application. We're responding by extending the submission deadline to February 7th! Please spread this news to anyone still updating their materials. And we know this extra time will allow for more aspiring and emerging filmmakers with unique visions to apply.

Another endeavor we're eager to share is our #ReelWeekend Watch List on social media. This campaign offers everyone a glimpse into the transformative films being produced by members of this community and our distribution catalog. Drop by Instagram/Facebook and/or LinkedIn on Fridays for must-see films that will surely rouse inspiring discussions.

Speaking of thought-provoking works - we congratulate TWN Production Workshop alum Naz Habtezghi for her NAACP nomination for THE BIRTHING OF A NATION and her Oscar nomination for THE ABCS OF BOOK BANNING! Naz beautifully captures vital societal commentaries through bold documentary and narrative techniques. We're honored she refined her craft with us. Both shorts are now available on Paramount+.

And to Creative Capital winners Loira Limbal, Chris Eyre and Miatta Kawinzi - as well as JustFilm fund recipients Yoruba Richen, Julie Dash and Set Hernandez - you make us so proud. Your drive toward purposeful art deserves all accolades.

Lastly, if you're a Production Workshop alum or distribution catalog partner with an upcoming festival screening, premiere, or other great news, do let us know. We want to spotlight you far and wide; your stories deserve amplified attention!
