Local Work Group Meeting


The Sussex Conservation District (SCD) will hold a hybrid local work group (LWG) meeting on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 9 a.m. at the Vanderwende-Evans Conservation Center in Georgetown.


The LWG assists SCD and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in developing practice and funding priorities for conservation activities in Sussex County.

Over $500,000 available for cover crops in Sussex County, Del.

Deadline March 24, 2023.

GEORGETOWN, Del. - Additional cover crop funding, totaling over $500,000 is available for the Delaware Bay and Inland Bays watersheds of Sussex County. Protecting the Delaware Bay and Inland Bays with Cover Crops is a USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) project focused on improving water quality through soil health.
