iGrow Summer Learning Lab 2021

In iGrow Summer Learning Lab children explore their own creativity, as well as the inspiring natural and cultural environment of the East End of Long Island.

iGrow Summer Learning Lab is a full-day program that takes place Monday thru Friday during the summer season, from June 28 - August 27, 2021. This program is for children ages 5 to 13. Space is limited.

All Project MOST programs adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols as set by the CDC and NYS Dept. of Health.

Our greatest hurdle in introducing children to the unique cultural and natural environment of our community has been transportation.

School Vacation Learning Lab: Winter Session

Students’ knowledge and skills in important subjects such as math and language arts are affected by summer learning loss.

"Summer learning loss" refers to the literal loss of academic ground and skills learned during the months of school break. According to the Afterschool Alliance, which works to ensure that all children have access to affordable, quality afterschool programs, "All children and youth are at risk of summer learning loss — not just those who struggle academically. Most students lose two months’ worth of math skills each summer." According to a study cited by You for Youth, "Summer learning programs can help students reduce summer learning loss. A study that included a randomized controlled trial indicated that students with high attendance in a summer program for low-income urban youth benefitted in mathematics and language arts." Free online classes for everyone

Project MOST instructors have come up with workshops that the whole family can enjoy at home. They’re fun and offered for free. Families can visit our Distance Learning Lab channel on YouTube for content in art, dance, yoga, science, cooking, and more. Discover more here.

Project MOST provides enriching academic and elective opportunities across a range of subjects at a subsidized cost. This includes a New York State SACC-licensed after school program, a nine-week summer learning program, plus year-round evening and weekend workshops and academic assistance in the areas of Arts & Culture, S.T.E.M., and Health & Wellness. We provide financial aid as needed so that no child is left out of our programs due to finances. Your donation helps us continue to turn non-school hours into learning hours, encouraging natural curiosity and the joy of knowledge for the youngest members of our community.
