Thank You from Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf
The Chamber received the following thank you letter from PEFS for the donations that were collected at our Holiday Party:

Thank you for partnering with us.
Dear Penfield Business Chamber Members,
It is tremendous to know there are such caring individuals in our community. We are grateful for your generosity in supporting the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf . Your food donations are very important because they offer immediate resources that are directed to current hunger needs here in Penfield. Ii's heartwarming to see our shelves fill up.
Because of people like you, our Penfield neighbors have a place to turn to when a family has limited or uncertain access to adequate food and has to choose between food and utilities, transportation, medical care, housing, or education.
You are making a difference.
From our clients:
  • “If the pantry did not exist, I honestly don't know how I would eat healthy foods I need on my medical diet.
  • “I want to say thank you so much for caring and making my life easier."
  • "I was hesitant at first to seek food assistance. My limited budget is now more manageable."

What Your Gifts Support:
  • 98 Penfield families receive food each week.
  • Supplemental kid-friendly food is distributed to 50 families and over 100 children during the summer.
  • Over 250 different Penfield families visit the Food Shelf each year.
  • With your help we are able to provide fresh meat, produce, eggs, cheese, and milk.
  • Together we provide 485 holiday dinners each year.

On behalf of our Board of Directors and the clients we serve, thank you for caring and collaborating with us. Please contact us if you or your family or friends would like a tour of the Food Shelf.
