What do you enjoy most about being a cardiologist?
The opportunity to care for patients at a vulnerable point in their lives and to assist patients and their families with lifesaving therapies and lifestyle changes to positively impact their quality and length of life.
Why did you choose Bon Secours Health System?
I was impressed by Bon Secours' commitment to good patient care and wanted the opportunity to practice in a faith-based hospital.
What do you enjoy outside of your work?
I enjoy time with my family - my husband, Mark, and my two sons, Alex (20) and Nick (18) - who are both at Texas A&M, as well as our extended family and friends in Virginia. Mark and I enjoy exercising together (he was a professional hockey player and is my health coach), skiing, fishing, traveling, and cooking. We enjoy volunteering with the AHA, our church, and various community service organizations. We believe a well-balanced life filled with laughter is the secret to a long and happy life.
