2018 Cabin Fever Trivia Night takes place  Saturday, March 10, at 7 PM at the  Potsdam Elks Club (10 Elm Street, Potsdam). C ompetition will take place in teams of four, so get your team together (or let us know you need a team when you register and we'll match you up!). 

As usual, there will be light fare available as well as a cash bar. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third places ($25 gift certificates to Jake's on the Water, The 1844 House, and The Big Spoon!) best costume, and best team name. Costumes are optional. 

Cost is $25 per person, or $12.50 per student with ID. All proceeds go to GardenShare. Please register well ahead of time!

On Sunday,  February 11, at 4 p.m., GardenShare will show the new documentary, Wasted! The Story of Food Waste, about the challenges -- and possibilities -- that come with wasted food. The free showing will be at the UU Church (3 1/2 East Main Street, Canton). Snacks provided by the Potsdam Food Co-op!

The Serious Side of Food
This spring, GardenShare and the Potsdam Public Library bring you a new Reading and Discussion program funded by Humanities New York. 

The group will meet f rom 7-8 PM t he second Thursday of the month from March to June. GardenShare's own AmeriCorps VISTA, Maggie Smith, will facilitate discussions. 

Under the surface of each meal we eat lies a series of complex entanglements. By reading a mix of historical accounts, novels, and narrative nonfiction, we'll strive to expose some of the issues that lie on our plates.
