February in all it's glory - cold weather and snow - NO!  A couple of cold days, little snow, and a forecast of rain.  I'm not sure this is really Minnesota!  The good news is we are half-way through winter.  Yay...

 

At our Board meeting this month we welcomed Elle Fox as Co-chair of the Membership Committee.  It is a big job and that is why we need two co-chairs for the committee.  Judy Decker will be stepping down as Chair of the Membership Committee and was nominated and voted in as President Elect.  Judy will start her term as President on June 1, 2018. It is a two year term, as are all board positions.  Please congratulate both women and wish them the best in their new roles.

 

I want to thank all of you who suggested organizations for our donations this year.  We are spending the next month researching all of those organizations you suggested and hope to make a decision by our March Board meeting.

 

We have a membership meeting on February 23, 2017.  I'll look forward to seeing all of you at the meeting.  Oh yes, remember February 14th is Valentine's Day - ENJOY!

We had a great start to 2017!  We saw many return members to MASWA at our January meeting and saw some new faces as well.  We are all looking forward to a great year. It was good to connect with so many of you!  At our February meeting we will draw prizes for those of you who took advantage of the early bird special pricing and renewed your membership or joined for the first time by January 31^st.

 

You may renew online or at the meeting.  Please remember that we need check or cash to renew at the meeting and the cost is now $30.00 for your annual membership.  Check in starts at 2:20.  I am looking forward to seeing you all on the 23rd.  I hope that many of you have the MASWA meeting on your monthly calendar!
