Latest News - February 2025

Dear Friends,

The heart of our mission to share food and fellowship with neighbors in need guides all our efforts. Through 5 weekly pantries, 8 community meal sites, and a backpack program food and kindness are shared. Your support is instrumental.

  • SSKP receives no direct state of federal funding.
  • We are grateful for out donors who ensure food is available for neighbors in need.
  • Our Core Values of Hospitality, Dignity, and Respect guide us.
  • There is no “us and them” in our service and mission.
  • Empathy moves us to be welcoming and caring.
  • We strongly respect the privacy of our guests.
  • We will continue sharing food and fellowship to the best of our ability.

I hope you can join us for the SSKP Annual Meeting on Tuesday February 11, 7pm which will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Old Saybrook. We will hear from SSKP Staff and the Board of Directors, view photo highlights, kick off a new awareness effort, and lift our hearts in gratitude for the collaborative efforts that enabled us to share more that 1.7 million pounds of food last year.

You make a difference!

Thank you,

Amy
