💘 There’s plenty to LOVE about February in Whittier!
This month, we’re celebrating a major investment in Whittier’s future with the completion of the Murphy Reservoir replacement project! This state-of-the-art reservoir quadruples water storage capacity, ensuring greater reliability for residents and businesses and enhanced fire protection for our hillsides. Thank you to all who joined us at the ribbon cutting to mark this important milestone!
Also in this month’s news, mark your calendars for upcoming community meetings, the next Compost Giveaway event, and scholarship opportunities for local students. February is also a great time to visit the Whittier Public Library, where you can explore Story Times, make seasonal crafts, and join in on the always-popular Blind Date with a Book reading challenge.
We hope to see you out and about in February!

Introducing Ask Whittier: A Smarter Way to Find City Information | |
The City of Whittier is excited to launch Ask Whittier, a new AI-powered search tool designed to provide direct answers to residents' questions, making it easier than ever to access city-related information. Unlike traditional keyword-based searches, Ask Whittier integrates multiple City resources—including webpages, building permits, zoning details, municipal codes, and fee schedules—into one convenient platform. Plus, it’s bilingual, allowing users to ask questions in Spanish and receive responses in Español. Currently in its beta phase, Ask Whittier is available on the Whittier 365 Mobile App and the Ask Whittier Beta Page (scan the QR code to access).
Community feedback is essential to refining this tool, so be sure to use the Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down reactions when prompted to help enhance its performance. As part of the City’s ongoing branding initiative, Ask Whittier will eventually be integrated into a redesigned website for an even better user experience. Try it today and discover a smarter way to stay informed!
