GRANT DEADLINE TOMORROW

The Agricultural Environmental Innovation Demonstration Program (AEIDP) is a one-time competitive grant opportunity supporting farms interested in demonstrating innovative equipment and technology that improves air and water quality, strengthens farm operations, and generates practical lessons for other farmers.


The program is administered by the Watershed Agricultural Council and funded by the New York State Office of the Attorney General.

PORTABLE BRIDGE TRANSPORTATION, INSTALLATION OR RENTAL

Did you know that the WAC Forestry Program has funding available to assist with the transportation, installation and/or rental of portable bridges when installing bridges on stream crossings in the New York City Watershed?

 

Current rates for the transportation, installation or rental are:

·   $1,423.91 or,

·   $2,531.38 for TLC and/or Master Logger Certified Loggers

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

ECONOMIC VIABILITY INTERN

The Watershed Agricultural Council, a non-profit organization working to protect the NYC Watershed, while supporting farm and forest land uses, is seeking an Economic Viability Program Intern. The Economic Viability Program Intern assists the Economic Viability Program with Pure Catskills Guide deliveries, document archiving, membership relations and support, content development for various electronic and print media, event coordination and set-up, and creating outreach materials consistent with messaging of the Pure Catskills buy local campaign. NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT INTERNS

The Watershed Agricultural Council, a non-profit organization working to protect the NYC Watershed, while supporting farm and forest land uses seeks six (6) seasonal/temporary employees to perform various duties as part of the Watershed Agricultural Program (WAP). Five (5) of the positions will be Nutrient Management soil samplers who will perform the duties of soil sampling and data collection. One position will be a WAP Technical Intern who will perform the duties of Best Management Practice (BMP) installation, repairs and inspections. Other duties will entail Whole Farm Plan monitoring, soil sampling and BMP data collection. These are 10-week, 40 hour a week summer positions. Must have a dependable vehicle, insurance and a valid N.Y.S. driver’s license. SEASONAL WATERSHED FORESTRY EDUCATOR

The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking a Seasonal Watershed Forestry Educator intern for summer 2026. The intern will assist with watershed forestry teacher trainings and landowner outreach in the Croton region of the NYC Watershed.
