Improved Traffic Safety at Walworth Delta & Eastern Intersection
______________________________________________

Surely most of you have noticed the changes on Delta between Columbia Parkway and Eastern Avenue. This area of the neighborhood has long been a confusing, dangerous intersection. It is now being made into a 4-way stop where Delta, Eastern, and Walworth meet. Part of the sidewalk in front of The Precinct is being bumped out as well. These changes make for safer driving and make it easier and safer for pedestrians to cross Delta and Eastern.

Steering Team member Matt Yauch applied for street calming measures through the Neighborhood Business District Improvement Program (NBDIP) in prior years. Funding through that program was not available, but the City came up with other funds to improve this corner of Columbia Tusculum. The changes will be finalized over the next month.
