Winter! What can I say... it's cold! But, there's still plenty you can do to keep you active, motivated, and keep the Winter Blues away! Hiking in winter can be lots of fun, and Blue Ridge offers some of the best hiking trails around. Head out to Fall Branch Falls. It's a short hike with double water falls, and frozen falls are gorgeous! Plus, it's only about a 30 minute hike roundtrip, so you won't be out in the cold too long!
Got plans for
Valentines Day?? If not, you might want to make reservations at one of the many fine dining establishments that Blue Ridge has to offer. Don't wait around though, Blue Ridge definitely knows how to love, and many of our restaurants book up early for that special night. Or, maybe you want to have dinner at home by a cozy fire. Be sure to grab dessert or a dozen chocolate covered strawberries from
The Sweet Shop.
Chili anyone? If you've never been to Downtown Blue Ridge's annual
Fire & Ice Chili Cook-Off, then don't miss out this year! Mark your calendars for February 17, and head downtown as Blue Ridge closes off a portion of East Main Street and the City Park for live entertainment, award winning chili, and incredible ice carvings! There will also be some "cool" carving demonstrations!
Toccoa River Living...
Authentic Log Charmer has it all...situated on oversize, level river front tract with the best view of the mountains & water to take in the most amazing sunsets...
February is jam-packed with events: wine-tasting, live music & theater, arts & craft shows, contra dancing, recitals, dance and art classes. There is definitely something for everyone!!
