On The Hill Of Hope!

The Hilltop: A Unique Space for Healing and Growth

This month, we’re highlighting The Hilltop, a special part of our recovery community that plays a vital role in the journeys of those in recovery. The Hilltop is not just a program—it’s a safe, supportive environment where men who have completed at least 28 days of residential treatment can continue their healing process in a less structured setting. Here, they receive a blend of intensive clinical care during the day while taking meaningful steps toward independence as they transition back into daily life.

Guests return to our main High Watch campus each day for six hours of programming. Programming consists of group therapy led by a licensed clinician, 12-Step meetings, and one-on-one sessions with members of their individual treatment team. Guests also have the opportunity to participate in electives like Art Therapy, Equine Therapy, Yoga, and more. Evenings at The Hilltop are dedicated to self-reflection, peer connection, and attending off-campus AA meetings, with each moment contributing to their healing.

The Hilltop offers a personalized approach to care, empowering each guest with the tools, confidence, and strength needed to live a sober, healthy life. We’ve witnessed its transformative power through the stories of many who’ve walked through its doors, and we’re proud of its life-changing impact on those who stay there. Check out the video linked here to learn more about the power of sober living and hear firsthand experiences from Jason G. and John M.

Just five minutes from our main campus, The Hilltop is a serene retreat that offers a peaceful environment for continued healing. With its calming atmosphere and the flexibility to use electronics, The Hilltop provides the ideal space for guests to reflect, grow, and stay connected to the outside world. It’s a place where healing and personal growth can flourish in a supportive, tranquil setting.

Black History Month

Black History Month, founded by Dr. Carter G. Woodson in 1926, celebrates the contributions of African Americans and promotes a future of progress and equality.

In recognition of Black History Month, we’re hosting an art show reception featuring Haitian artist Jean Benoit and his vibrant Afrocentric paintings.

Star's Retirement

Our handsome Star returned to his retirement home at HORSE (Humane Organization Representing Suffering Equines) of Connecticut this past Saturday. Due to some physical challenges, it has become tough for him to fully enjoy his time in the EAL (Equine Assisted Learning) Program. After many wonderful years of dedicated service, we decided it was best for him to return to HORSE, where his horse friends surround him and so many people care for him! We truly appreciate all the calming healing he provided to countless High Watch guests throughout the years!
