TRANSFORMATION EDUCATION
TAKES UP NEW INITIATIVES IN 2022
In this coming new year, the Transformation Education program will roll out two important new initiatives.

First, we are supporting people with passions in important arenas of personal and social transformation to organize “communities of learning” pertaining to their respective interests.

The first of these will be a community of learning that will explore the role of the arts in transforming society and elevating human consciousness. For a full description of this program see: https://transformation-education.org/course/arts-for-service-and-blessedness-learning-community. This program starts in late February. Stay tuned for more exciting learning communities coming in 2022!

Communities of learning are characterized by an exciting collective process of learning and creating around specified themes. Participants collaborate in advancing empowering ideas and practices aimed at building new consciousness and advancing social progress.

The second new initiative is a course on PROUT which requires extensive commitment from participants in order to acquire a working understanding of PROUT’s system of socio-economic development. This course, called the PROUT Design Seminar, takes an approach to learning in which instead of attending presentations by instructors, students first watch videos and read articles, then come together to discuss well-designed study questions. The learning comes through participants collectively grappling with the application of what they have studied. This course, which has already begun to meet, will span 15 weeks and is a big step in Transformation Education’s aspiration to train people to practically implement the workings of a PROUT society.

In addition to upping the ambitions of Transformation Education through these two new programs, we continue to offer a diversity of other quality classes and courses in the five key arenas of transformation that defines the scope of our mission. These arenas are:
           • transformation of individuals through vitalizing yogic practices
           • transformation of social values through neohumanism
           • transformation of society through PROUT
           • transformation of worldview through yogic spiritual ideology
           • insights on the dynamics of holistic planetary transformation

We are confident that for those who have a passion to reach their potential and transform society at this momentous time, the programs offered by Transformation Education are of exceptional value. They present tools, ideas and practices, presented through quality instruction, to assist bringing aspirations for a transformed world into manifestation.

Art for Service & Blessedness
On the Pulse of Morning
by Maya Angelou

A Rock, A River, A Tree
Hosts to species long since departed,
Marked the mastodon,
The dinosaur, who left dried tokens
Of their sojourn here
On our planet floor,
Any broad alarm of their hastening doom
Is lost in the gloom of dust and ages.

But today, the Rock cries out to us, clearly, forcefully,
Come, you may stand upon my
Back and face your distant destiny,
But seek no haven in my shadow,
I will give you no hiding place down here.

You, created only a little lower than
The angels, have crouched too long in
The bruising darkness
Have lain too long
Facedown in ignorance,
Your mouths spilling words
Armed for slaughter.

The Rock cries out to us today,
You may stand upon me,
But do not hide your face.

Join our learning community!

A learning community is a regular gathering of people who share a common interest and want to deepen their knowledge on that topic.

Our first learning community, Art for Service and Blessedness will meet to read and discuss P.R. Sarkar’s writings as well as other artist-authors. They'll work on art for service and blessedness projects, and create a final public presentation.

Philosopher and spiritual leader, P.R. Sarkar gave a vision of the vital role of art and literature in the transformation of society. He viewed art as a channel for self-realization and service for humanity, or Art for Service and Blessedness. This learning community will address how we might express art for service and blessedness in our lives, and how we can support others in doing so.

DATE: 3rd Sundays, February 20th - May 15th
