Keeping Up with Christiana!
Welcome to our February Newsletter! As we celebrate Black History Month, I hope you will take some time to attend some of the county events honoring and recognizing the many contributions of African-Americans in the United States (see our listed community events below for details!).

I also want to recognize the Howard County Board of Education members who voted to support "Black Lives Matter at School" Week of Action at their meeting on January 24. At a time when Howard County schools continue to become more segregated, supporting children of color in our public schools remains a critical responsibility in Howard County.
With several weeks of harsh weather ahead, if you are experiencing any issues in your community or would just like to get in touch to say hello, please don't hesitate to contact our office! We are here to help with your concerns and listen to your feedback. Wishing you a safe and healthy February!

Yours in service,
Christiana Mercer Rigby
Councilwoman, District 3
