Progress in Magnolia Village, Events Galore
February has been a busy month. The Reimagine Magnolia Beautification project is in full swing and your Magnolia Chamber is busy advancing local businesses through events (DO NOT miss Vino in the Village on April 3rd), communication, and engaging with business owners and family members. The Chamber is growing its membership and working to create a thriving Magnolia to support businesses and services in the Village, along Thorndyke, the Elliott Bay Marina, in and near Fishermen's Terminal, Interbay, and along the 15th Ave/Elliott Avenue West corridor, and Government Way. This month's newsletter is all about discovering Magnolia!
Fundraiser for Australian Fire Relief on Friday, March 6th at Figurehead Brewing
Figurehead Brewing is teaming up with Cafe Appassionato and the Highliner Public House to host a fundraiser for the Ellen Australia Fund. Located near Fishermen’s Terminal in Magnolia, Figurehead Brewing is holding the event on March 6th, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Donations and beer sales will be given to local fire departments and wildlife relief efforts to support the many animals and humans impacted by the catastrophic fire season experience in Australia earlier this year. There will also be a raffle for beer and coffee gear that will go towards the fund. If any business would like to donate other items to the raffle, please reach out to Figurehead Brewing. The fundraiser promises to be a fun night for a great cause. Hope to see you there! Learn more about the Ellen Brushfire Relief Fund:

New Restorations for Vacant Buildings in Magnolia - welco me to American Dance Institute
Magnolia business owner, Steve Chayer, is renovating buildings located on 32nd Avenue West. Steve reports that the building owner Terry Yoshikzwa has been very helpful and supportive of the restoration, and they are both excited to get these buildings filled again with thriving businesses. Steve has been looking for over a year for a space to lease in Magnolia, and thanks to Terry and his staff, they have already started improving the building appearance. Expect a new coat of paint and storefront glass soon. A big shout out of thanks and appreciation to Terry and Steve for getting the project off the ground and breathing new life into Magnolia Village. Steve is hoping the American Dance Institute will be in their new space in just a few weeks.

The Reimagine Magnolia Beautification Project: Going Strong

As Spring approaches and flowers begin to bloom, you might notice a brighter, more beautiful Magnolia Village thanks to the hard work of volunteers and supporters of the Reimagine Magnolia Beautification Project. Phase 1 activities continue as the Magnolia Beautification Committee works with local contractors and the city of Seattle to set up new installations in the heart of Magnolia Village, on McGraw Street between 32nd and 33rd Avenue West. Please note that some light construction will continue into the near future, but the final product will boost the liveliness of the Village and attract new customers for local businesses.
