Faces of ESFL

Ronnie Hindsman

Once a year, Triple J Lanes in Livingston, Texas, hosts Ronnie Hindsman’s Bowling Tournament. In addition to the serious bowlers aiming for a perfect 300, you will also see a group sharing tips and tricks for getting the ball down the lane – sometimes for the first time. Many of them are using a special adaptive device since, like Ronnie, they are living without both hands.

Message from the Executive Director

In honor of a certain holiday that happens every February 14th, we wanted to make sure everyone is familiar with or practicing Self-love. Self-love is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological and spiritual growth. Self-love means having a high regard for your own well-being and happiness. Self-love means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your well-being to please others.

Here we Grow...

If you have been following us for a while, you know that in recent months our community is growing in the numbers of people with bilateral upper limb loss/limb difference we support, in staff, and in resources.

At ESFL, our goal is to educate, empower and connect those living without both arms or more. We are proud that our recent growth supports that mission. In the coming months, you will hear more about a comprehensive adaptive equipment catalog, details about Skills for Life 7 and our efforts to solidify strategic partnerships that will keep us on our path.

Please keep reading below for important information and updates. If you have information to include in March's newsletter please reach out, we would love to hear from you!

Warm regards,
