All At Once

Lately I’ve been thinking about how multiple different things can be true at once.

Last month, I read Dr. Brené Brown’s Braving the Wilderness, and in it, Dr. Brown talks about the common human experience of ‘living in a paradox.' That notion gave shape to a concept I had been noticing but couldn't define:

Young Parent University Virtual Café Series: Supporting Connection for Teen Parents

Building off the in-person Young Parent University event Prevent Child Abuse Arizona and the Department of Child Safety Office of Prevention host annually, we extended our partnership to host a four-part Young Parent University Virtual Café series. The Working Families Child Care Act

To address this issue, she introduced the Working Families Child Care Act, which aims to reduce child care costs for working families and increase access to providers through a public-private partnership. First Things First is leading a movement to educate and inform Arizonans of the critical need for child care support. Learn more below:

Currently, 1 in 5 federal TANF dollars is allocated to child welfare activities, with state-level spending ranging from 0 to 52%. The Administration of Children and Families (ACF) encourage states to follow its guidance to direct more TANF resources toward strengthening families and preventing child welfare involvement.
