💕 February 2019 Community News & Events »

Greetings beloved THOTH community!

This month we are focusing on the imperative of living in sacred reciprocity, or ayni, a balance between giving and receiving. It is the core Andean belief underlying all relationships and a foundational principle of The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition. It is the central connecting fabric in the ordering of all worlds. For ayni to flow properly, humans must be aware of the part we play in it. For the Universe to function properly, we must participate and engage all aspects of this relationship.

Ayni is the deepest concern of all mesa carriers. As in the ‘Law of Right Returns’, or ‘today for me, tomorrow for you’, imbalance is created when return ‘payment’ is not offered for the gifts and intervention of the seen and unseen realms.

Within the Ritual Arts section of The Heart of the Healer website you will find a variety of ways to offer ayni. In addition, please see this Ayni for Changemakers video. It offers a contemporary lesson on sacred reciprocity. You may also enjoy these articles in the Writer’s Forum: Ayni: Moving from Doing to Being by David Jordan and Sacred Relationship: Living in Ayni by Gabriella Galvan.

Featured Teacher

Growing up in a Christian community, Michelle Paul’s first teaching experience was working with children at Sunday school. Like most teachers, she remains a lifelong student. She has studied many world religions, astrology, numerology, various forms of divination, dream interpretation and New Directions Emotional Healing. She is a Usui and a Karuna Reiki Master. Michelle was introduced to the PMT in 2012 and had completed the Five-part Apprenticeship twice when her teacher suggested that she apply to don Oscar to become a sanctioned teacher. She admits this caught her by surprise at first but is very happy she pursued the opportunity. At this point, Michelle has taught numerous weekend PMT hoops and facilitated many community ceremonies. She currently is close to completing her ministerial studies in Science of Mind and stays very active in the New Thought Community Center.

Michelle has always been drawn to visit places of antiquity, traveling to the Yucatan, Egypt, and Peru. She lives in Clovis, California, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, with access to many beautiful hiking destinations. She makes it a point to spend time in Nature each week.

Michelle is offering Part I of the Five-Part Apprenticeship  The Call to Heal, beginning February 15, 2019 in Clovis, California.
