PRESCHOOL THROUGH ADULT CLASSES
Plan A — Recitals for Preschool through Adult classes @ ERHS with current schedule of classes/groups. Audience size may be limited.

Plan B — Shortened recitals @ ERHS with fewer classes/groups per show, scheduled on dates posted for plan A. New show times would announced for those dates.
Plan C — Performances at WDC WEST location with each recreational class and Pre-Comp group performing separately for family including lights in a stage like setting.
As we learn more regarding the guidelines for performances and audience sizes, we will confirm which plan we will be moving forward with for 2021 recitals. Stay tuned for more information!
TOTS CLASSES
Tots Showcase performances will take place on Sunday, May 23rd for all tots classes. See the recital schedule HERE for specific times. There will be no dress rehearsal for the tots classes prior to their Showcase performance. Look for more information in the Tots Showcase information packet which will be distributed later this spring.
As we move toward our year-end performances, we will be transitioning our tots classes so that parents will no longer be in the classroom with their dancer as of March 1st. Teacher assistants will be added to the classroom where needed. This will allow instructors to prepare the dancers for their showcase routine performance. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Tots Showcase & Recital Costumes: We are anticipating that costumes will be passed out the end of March.

Monday, February 15th President's Day - Classes WILL be held
Spring Break - No recreational classes Monday, March 8th through Saturday, March 13th
Picture Week: Individual and class photos will be taken Monday, April 12th – Saturday, April 17th at Woodbury Dance Center. Classes will NOT be held on those dates due to picture scheduling. Class pictures will be scheduled at a time similar to their regular clss day/time. The schedule picture day and time for each class will be distributed in March.
Last days of Classes - Monday, May 17th through Saturday, May 22nd
Totally Tots Showcase – Sunday, May 23rd
Dress Rehearsals – Monday, May 24th; Tuesday, May 25th; Wednesday, May 26th; Thursday, May 27th

Monthly Themes for Tots, Preschool, and Kindergarten Classes:
Our theme this month for tots, preschool, and kindergarten classes is: “We Love To Dance!”. We will have special songs, games, activities, along with dance specific skill goals and life/social skill goals that will be worked on each month.
Theme Weeks for February and March:
I Love to Dance Week: Monday, February 8th – Saturday, February 13th Dancers of ALL ages wear red, pink of hearts to shoe your love to dance spirit!
Tropical Week: Monday, March 1st – Saturday, March 6th Dances in Tots, Preschool & Kindergarten classes wear your swimsuit, summer clothes, or best tropical attire! Preschoolers and Kindergartners – Bring a beach towel to stretch on!

Recreational Private Lessons (Dancers 1st Grade & Up)
The studio offers private lessons for our recreational dancers ages 1st grade and up. Private lessons are scheduled individually through our office assistant. If you would like to schedule a private lesson for your dancer, please email Buffy at [email protected] to set up your private today. Below is some additional information about private lessons.
Private lessons are a great opportunity for your dancers to get some one on one time with teachers to work on their technique and skills (and as the season goes on, work on their recital routine).
When scheduling a lesson, please indicate your dancer’s name, what your dancer would like to work on (tap, jazz, class routine, etc) and days of the week that you are available for lessons. We will then provide some options for private lessons based on teacher and room availability. Private lessons will be scheduled for 30-minute time slots. The tuition for private lessons will be $35 per 30-minute private lesson paid directly to Woodbury Dance Center at the front desk prior to your scheduled private lesson.

Recreational Hip Hop Shoes: Dancers in recreational classes with Hip Hop will be required to purchase black hi-top converse shoes with white soles for recitals. Other brands may also work as long as they look the same as the Converse brand and do not include any additional colored detailing.
These shoes will not be available through WDC. Dancers will need to purchase them through local retail stores. They are often sold at Famous Footwear, Kohl’s, JC Penney as well as many online retailers.
Shoes will need to be purchased prior to picture week: April 12th – April 17th, as dancers will need to wear shoes in pictures. Shoes should only be worn for pictures, dress rehearsals and recitals.
