WHAT A SPECTACULAR SHOW
The Miami International Boat Show was truly amazing in so many ways. The enhanced Convention Center was a sensational venue because we did not have to be concerned about the weather as we enjoyed indoor, air-conditioned space. The team could even wear our sportscoats to dress up a bit!

The Intrepid Nation showed up in force. In fact, we achieved around $15 million in sales during the boat show, while thoroughly enjoying spending time with Intrepid owners and boating enthusiasts from around the country. Thank you for your continued support that allows us to continue doing what we love - building boats that you love.
On a personal note, the boat show also provided me with a great opportunity to spend extended time with my Intrepid teams. From the craftspeople who built the boats to the Service Team who set up the show, from the Logistics Team who had the tough job of getting the boats into the Convention Center to the Sales Teams I watched demonstrating their product knowledge and deep care for their customers. Our 350 Intrepid employees are truly rock stars!
WE’RE BRINGING THE MIAMI BOAT SHOW TO YOU!
If you couldn’t make it to the Miami International Boat Show, you can still experience much of what made it so special. We created a virtual tour of our boat show booth and all the models we showcased. It’s our way of bringing the boat show to you!
MARK YOUR CALENDAR
We’d like to invite everyone to come see us the Atlantic City Boat Show from March 2-6 and the Palm Beach International Boat Show from March 24-27.
And please plan on joining us at the Intrepid Rendezvous at Ocean Reef Club July 28-31. This is the Florida Keys venue that the Intrepid Nation asked for, and we’re excited to share this celebration with you.
MARKET REPORT
We had high expectations with the Miami International Boat Show being back indoors at the Miami Beach Convention Center. With such great attendance and sales, it did not disappoint! We are looking forward to it once again becoming the premier boat show.

As always, we are so grateful for all of you who took the time to visit with us at the boat show. We do not take your loyalty and support for granted.
We’re excited to make our way back up north to take part in the Atlantic City Boat Show March 2-6. Joe Brenna and myself will be on hand with our New Jersey sales partner Sandy Hook Yacht Sales to showcase their newly received 409 Valor. Please plan on stopping by to see us, and experience a sleek and stylish model with all the enhanced accommodations you would expect in a luxury performance powerboat.
Later in the month, the boat show season returns to Florida for the Palm Beach International Boat Show March 24-27. Take it from me, this is the best all-around boating event of its kind, and a must-see for those who love life on the water. This year’s model lineup will be our biggest and best yet!

ALL HANDS ON DECK FOR THE BOAT SHOW
Thanks to everyone who came to visit us at the Miami boat show this month. It was great to be back in the Miami Beach Convention Center. Our booth was constantly crowded, and we got to see lots of our old friends.

Intrepid had eight models on display, so putting those boats in place and creating our booth took lots of effort. Big thanks go to Alex Rizo, our V.P. of Sales, and Che de Boehmler, our Service Manager in Dania, for all the planning and hard work that they did to make this happen.

I was on hand for the move-in the week before the show opening to help with coordination and trucking moves. We worked with our friends at Palmetto Yacht Management on transport and arranging the boats on the floor, and everything went like clockwork! Chris Hanna is the principal at Palmetto, and we’ve worked together for a long time, so I’m happy to have him and his team as a partner in that aspect of the boat business. They have an impressive fleet of trucks and trailers with various locations throughout the country, so they handle transport and storage with ease. Chris and I made the video that’s attached, and it shows our efforts in the move-in for this Miami show.
I’ll be travelling to Atlantic City, N.J. in early March for the boat show there. Our friends at Sandy Hook Yacht Sales will have their 409 Valor on display, and I will be on hand for questions that any of our customers in the Garden State may have.

In late March, we will be showing boats at the Palm Beach Boat Show. That event has grown into one of the major show venues over the past decade, so I look forward to being there to greet and help our customers.
IMPORTANT SAFETY RULE ABOUT TO TAKE EFFECT
A new rule on fire extinguishers takes effect on April 20, 2022. Replacement of any extinguishers that are 12 or more years old is now mandatory. This applies to both disposable and rechargeable extinguishers. There is a date stamped on the bottom of the metal bottle as shown in the picture below. If that year is longer than 12 years ago, then it’s time to get new ones. Fire extinguishers are an essential piece of safety equipment so please be sure to make note of this new requirement.
As a reminder, fire extinguishers must be of an approved type and be readily accessible. It’s prudent to check the pressure gauge status and pull pin frequently to make sure that your extinguisher’s not been discharged and shows no sign of corrosion or damage. This applies to extinguishers that are less than 12 years old as well.

To our friends in the colder parts of the world – hang in there, Spring is just around the corner! If you’re here in Florida or anywhere warm now - enjoy your Intrepid! If you find yourself in the Tampa Bay area, drop me a line or give me a call so we can set up a visit.

Happy Boating,
Joe
