My name is Emilee Rydalch. I was born and raised in Summit County. I love spending time outside with my husband and two little girls. I am excited to be a part of the Create Better Health program within our community.

Urban & Small Farms Conference

Register now for the Urban & Small Farms Conference hosted by USU Extension on February 20-22, 2024. The FREE VIRTUAL three-day conference will include small farm management, cut flower production and marketing, grant application, vegetable and berry sessions, etc.

Utah Beef Field Days

Register now for Utah Beef Field Days from February 29th to March 1st, 2024. Thursday night, there will be an education program and dinner. The field day will start at 9 am on Friday and will be an actual field day with mental health resources, econ tools, feed analysis and nutrient requirements, reproduction and heat detection, tradeshow, lunch, and much more. Soil Health in the West Conference

Register now for the Soil Health in the West February 6 - 8, 2024 conference. This event brings together world experts and regional soil health practitioners under one roof for a multi-day learning and networking opportunity unlike any other in the Western United States. Whether you're just starting your soil health journey or a seasoned veteran of the soil health movement, this conference is for you. This year, there are 21 speakers covering topics from grazing with soil health to soil health impact on water availability and everything in between.

Maple Tapping Workshop

Maple tapping in Utah? Come learn how to tap some of the native (and other common) maples in our area.

When: Friday, Feb. 16th @ 5 - 6:30 pm.

Where: Wasatch Mountain State Park Visitor's Center and Huber Grove (Midway, UT).

What: Learn the basics of maple tapping. We'll have some inside instruction and then tap a Boxelder in the state park. Walk away with a tapping kit to tap your own maple!

Cost: The class is FREE, but admission into the state park may be required - more details soon.
