Gold Hill Road and I-77 Temporary Closure Update
Traffic issues on Pleasant Rd from Carowinds Blvd to Gold Hill Rd
Thank you to the local leadership at Black and Decker for coming up with a plan to address the truck back up issue that has been occurring on Pleasant Road going into their facilities. I want to thank Black and Decker local leadership for taking my call and for their partnership in addressing this traffic issue and for your partnership for our community!!
Thank you SCDOT for your help on Pleasant Road
Thank you to SCDOT for removing the road signs which directed drivers to go down Pleasant Rd from Carowinds to get to I-77. This has helped with traffic flow issues and I appreciate your partnership to help address this traffic impact on Pleasant Rd.

Working with local business to address noise issue
Thank you to the leadership at OXCO for taking my call and for their partnership in coming up with a plan to address a noise issue. This is greatly appreciated and thank you for your partnership for our community!!
Update from our last RFATS (Rock Hill-Fort Mill Area Transportation Study) meeting this month
After reviewing the presentation on a proposal from Beyond Contact (Charlotte based transportation organization). I have stated my opposition to their proposal to bring bus transportation and light rail from Charlotte into South Carolina. My reasons are because of lack of local control and potential long term cost. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Slowing down our residential growth
Because of the rapid residential growth in our district, I have proposed and got approved changes to our planning codes for town home construction in York County. These changes will make it much tougher for town home projects to be approved in our district.

Working to get the "Access Transportation program" to the elderly and disabled in Fort Mill, Tega Cay and Lake Wylie
I am currently working with the York County Council on the Aging to get the "Access Transportation program" to the elderly and disabled in Fort Mill, Tega Cay and Lake Wylie. This essential service provides transportation for the elderly and disabled who need a ride to the doctor, pharmacy, grocery store, or transportation to facilities for medical treatment such as dialysis, chemotherapy, etc. Please click on the link below for additional information:

As an on going effort in manage our residential growth in the area
We have recently been able to stop some potential townhome projects that were being requested for our area. Because of the impact on our roads and the schools we are working hard to stop this level of impact.
