2023 is off to a great start for our industry and MPI New Jersey Chapter. As we put the pandemic in our rearview mirror live meetings are coming back with a vengeance! We are excited to share our 2023 signature events (three listed below) with you and hope you will make plans to join us.
Our third annual MEETS (Meetings, Education, Events, Travel, Sales) Conference is scheduled for April 3-4 at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. The first conference in 2021 was held virtually, but we debuted the conference live at the Hard Rock Atlantic City in March of 2022. As our first live event in two years that conference was a celebration and a great chance to reconnect with colleagues and friends. We plan to recapture that magic this year and welcome back our MPI NJ family for a day and a half of networking and collaboration. The event will feature roundtable discussions on top of mind, industry specific subjects, thought-provoking presentations and a chance to meet and mingle with local vendors. In addition, we will mix in some great food and socializing and a site of the newly renovated Harrah’s Resort. More details and information on registration are below.
On June 20 we will host our 25th Annual MPI New Jersey Golf Event (wow 25 years!) at the Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, New Jersey. This signature event is a must-attend for golfers and non-golfers alike. Once again, Crystal Springs will roll out the red carpet for a great day on the Wild Turkey Course, fabulous food and libations and a golf clinic and wine tasting for those who don’t aspire to hit the links. Our fantastic sponsors bring the enthusiasm, the laughs, and great giveaways and raffle prizes to round out the day.
For qualified industry planners we have “hosted buyer” slots available for either the golf round or the wine tasting and golf clinic (Sip, Swing & Dine) – please take advantage of this excellent opportunity to join the day! As we always say, “Nobody does golf like MPI New Jersey!”

You’d think two annual signature events would be plenty for any chapter, but the MPI NJ Chapter always likes to go above and beyond. So… instead of taking a breather for the second half of the year, our membership committee will be working hard to bring you the CMP/CMM Recognition Event slated for September. This occasion allows us the opportunity to honor our members and local colleagues who have earned these industry designations and present topics of interest to the group. If you are a CMP or CMM keep an eye on our website for details on this event. We hope to celebrate you in September.

MEETS CONFERENCE
Established in 2021, the MPI New Jersey MEETS Conference attracts professionals in the meetings, events, hospitality, travel, and sales industries from across the tri-state area. An anticipated 150+ attendees will gather at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City on Monday, April 3, 2023 & Tuesday, April 4, 2023, with exclusive and fun conference parties, site visits, and more.
A host of knowledgeable subject matter experts will complement an engaging supplier and buyer trade show during this time of learning and networking. This mix will give attendees access to must-have information as the meetings industry powers back strong!

ANNUAL GOLF EVENT
MPI New Jersey's Signature Golf Event is back for a 25th year! We are excited to play one of New Jersey's best golf courses again, Wild Turkey at Crystal Springs Resort, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

What is your favorite thing about our industry?
My favorite thing about this industry is having the ability to learn and grow from each event. There is no such thing as a perfect event but when something goes off course (especially while in a time constraint), it’s what you do to find an alternative solution in a calm manner that makes you a successful planner.
What is your favorite city to travel to and why?
My favorite city to travel to is Boston, MA. There is always something fun to do and experience. Our favorite spots include Lawn on D, Seaport, restaurants in the North End and a curated cocktail experience at Farmacia.
