My oh my, what a year! I guess February is a special month in two different ways now – one, I celebrate and thank God for another year on earth and celebrate my coming birthday. And two, it's the month I officially became Lake Beauty's Executive Director. And it has been a year! Looking at things, only two people remained in the same positions they were in this time last year; we have been going through many changes and various ways to promote our multiple hirings. Thankfully, we are finally fully staffed for our year-round employees! Praise God for getting us through these times....

In the last newsletter, I wrote to you as I looked out at the short-lived snow fall at the end of December. We saw some snow this month and the occasional colder day, but it is still shaping up to be a strange winter. But, it has still been a great month! We began January reflecting on the 2023 year of ministry. We had a couple of quieter weeks to begin the new year, welcoming guest groups to each of the weekends. Winter ministry at Lake Beauty has faced a challenge in the lack of snow...

On January 1st, we opened up applications for Lake Beauty Bible Camp’s new internship called Pathfinders. It is hard to describe the excitement and expectancy I have for this program and the years to follow. With the start of any new program comes hours of prayer and strategic planning. Many months have built up to the launch of this internship and it excites me to see the ball rolling. As of this moment, we have three interns hired to begin August 2024! We are looking to hire three more interns.

What drew you to LBBC: The people. Everyone that works at LBBC has a dedication and desire to serve God and people; spreading the love of Christ to all who come to camp.

What is one thing on your bucket list: To write and publish 60 novels.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, it would be: Old fashioned oatmeal cooked in milk, with peanut butter, raisins, a banana, and honey mixed in, served alongside a hot cup of oolong tea.
