Meet February featured artist: Jane Keddy.

Jane Keddy is a printmaker and textile artist. She works in many different media: silkscreen, ecoprinting, shibori and textile collage. She began her artistic journey with batik (wax resist method of dyeing cloth) and then moved on to silkscreen printing on both paper and fabric. She received a certificate in Graphic Design from MassArt. Her current passions are ecoprinting, a method of printing with live plants using pressure and steam, and shibori, a Japanese method of dyeing cloth using folding, binding, clamping and other resist methods. She is a member of Rocky Neck Art Colony, Rockport Art Association, Salted Cod Arthouse Gallery and the Surface Design Association. She teaches workshops in silkscreen printing, shibori, fabric printing and dyeing, and ecoprinting.
