February 2018 Edition

A very successful January enabled us to start 2018 in fine fashion. Our second annual "For Veterans, by Veterans" Comedy Night was a wonderful evening that was enjoyed by all. We are grateful to our sponsors, attendees, Treehouse Comedy Productions and Vazzano's Four Seasons for a remarkable result.
February will now be kicked off with our traditional Kiwanis Super Bowl Party and we anticipate a terrific Valentine's Day filled with love and gratitude. A ll of us at Homes for the Brave ,  Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes , and  Waldorf House  are so very thankful for your support. I  hope you enjoy this edition of  The Perimeter.

Program Highlights

Homes for the Brave is always working to connect with our community, whether it be legislators, companies, groups, or individuals. This month, we participated in "The State of Community Nonprofits", a discussion with legislators, at  LifeBridge Community Services in Bridgeport . Current staff member Milton moved the audience with his honest story of military service to homelessness to employment and independence. "When I got there, I felt like I had been there for months when I had been there for hours." "Homes for the Brave saved my life." - Milton Griffin
