I am very proud to share that in merging with Wood County Community FCU, our growth in 2018 surpassed $187 Million in assets and topped 20,000 in members. The addition of the Wood County FCU members will help WV Central to continue to grow and serve our six counties.

As a federal credit union, our structure positions us to do our very best for our members and our local community. This is because credit unions are not for profit, member owned financial institutions. We have a special mission to serve our members/community rather than investors. This means WV Central’s members receive higher savings return, lower loan rates and fewer as well as smaller fees.
WV Central is owned by our members and is democratically governed by a volunteer board of directors who are also members of the credit union. This not for profit, cooperative structure sets us apart from banks and other for profit financial institutions and allows us to remain focused on member enrichment and community support.
