God is on the move in our midst!
By Pastor Liz Armstrong

Faith Church is on the move…new opportunities for small group learning and sharing, for
gathering with others for Centering Prayer, and new opportunities to discern and share your gifts
in your community of faith. No matter how short or long a time you have been a part of Faith
Church, this is a place to discover where God is leading you and how God is inviting you to
share yourself.

Faith Church is striving to be the kind of safe harbor that we all long for – a place to listen, to be
listened to, to sing, to receive communion, to be a part of community life. This is a powerful way
for each of us to experience God’s love for us and for all people. And this is a powerful way for
us to become more and more open to the kind of loving transformation that God’s love offers us.
We are all anxious for a new Rector to be called but that is only one piece of what God is up to
here. God is at work bringing healing love and a deepening of our faith and of our commitment
to following Jesus. God has plans for each of you! This is your community and God has plenty
of ideas and energy for Faith Church to be a place to love God and to love our neighbor.
Continue to be in prayer for the Transition Process as it unfolds and the team members do the
work before them. Continue to listen for and look for the signs of God’s leading in your own life
and in the lives of those around you (including kids!). God is on the move in our midst!

Ash Wednesday Services February 26
Noon and 6:30 p.m.
The first of the forty days of Lent, named for the custom of placing blessed ashes on the foreheads of worshipers at Ash Wednesday services. The ashes are a sign of penitence and a reminder of mortality, and may be imposed with the sign of the cross. Ash Wednesday is observed as a fast in the church year of the Episcopal Church. The Ash Wednesday service is one of the Proper Liturgies for Special Days in the BCP (p. 264). Imposition of ashes at the Ash Wednesday service is optional.
