Hope that you are well. We have great admiration for all the teachers, parents and students who are using new tools for learning during this pandemic.
We have character resources to help lift your spirits and promote social and emotional learning at home and in the classroom.
Our team is here to support your participation in our global learning project celebrating real life heroes around the globe with your poems, songs, stories, art and short films.
We have curated lessons, with short films and essays, featuring a wide range of themes. Contests promoting media literacy and media arts are designed to encourage creativity and self expression and to honor heroes locally and globally.
We hope you will review this newsletter and share it with your community.

Join MY HERO on Thursdays, February 4th, 11th and 25th at 7pm EST/4pm PST for interactive discussions about ways to engage and inspire young people using media, art and technology. MY HERO’s FREE resources and lesson plans enrich student learning and empower students to become reporters, artists and filmmakers, telling the stories of the heroes in their communities.

Whether your students are working on campus or remotely, use MY HERO's free media resources to enrich learning. The Teachers Room has links to resources, tutorials and lesson plans that utilize media from MY HERO's online library, curated by subject, for elementary, middle school, high school and college students.
The films, stories, art and music in our library shine a light on those making a positive difference around the world. Taking part in MY HERO gives students an appreciation for diversity and introduces them to inspiring role models who work to protect the planet, advocate for peace, and strive toward social justice for all.

Use MY HERO's Distance Learning Resources for students working at home or in the classroom. Lesson plans, with media from MY HERO's ever-growing online library, are tailored for elementary, middle school, high school and college students.

The MY HERO Global Learning Circles, a partnership with iEARN (International Education and Resource Network), gives educators and students around the world the opportunity to collaborate on the topic of heroes, while learning about the cultures in other countries.

MY HERO | GreenShorts Environmental Video Production Workshop
March 6th from 10am - 12 pm PST @ ZOOM
The MY HERO Project is collaborating with UCLA Green Fest and New Roads School, to present a workshop for high school students in Southern California and Louisiana about Environmental Video Production. The workshop includes a screening of selected winning environmental films from the MY HERO International Film Festival, along with mentoring for pre-production, production and post-production.
