Chamber Annual Meeting Recap

At the Chamber’s annual meeting last week at PeoplesChoice Credit Union, long-time Biddeford Mayor Alan Casavant was awarded the prestigious A. William Kany, Jr. Leadership Award for his innumerable contributions throughout his life of service to the city.

This award is given annually to a local leader who has significantly contributed to the growth and success of the Biddeford & Saco region over many years. It is a collaborative effort spearheaded by Heart of Biddeford, Saco Main Street, and the Chamber of Commerce, along with Saco & Biddeford Savings Executive Vice-President Bill Kany.

We were also thrilled to present our annual Member Awards to 5 deserving businesses and organizations: New Business of the Year 207 Roofers, Non-Profit of the Year The Ecology School, Small Business of the Year Beaupre Fuels, Large Business of the Year Consolidated Communications, and Employer of the Year Ferry Beach Retreat & Conference Center. At the meeting, attendees also had the memorable opportunity to hear from Guest Speaker Dajuan Eubanks, the President of the Maine Celtics.
