BUILDER

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Serving the Mid-Ohio Valley Residential Remodels & New Construction

Ferris Construction Services (FCS) is a growing residential construction company built on quality craftsmanship and strong customer relationships.

Founded in late 2024 by Jason Ferris, Builder Member began as a side business while Jason worked full-time as a Construction Manager for Celanese in Washington, WV. As demand increased and his reputation for excellence grew, Jason made the decision in July 2025 to dedicate himself fully to FCS.

Jason’s passion for building started early, working alongside his father in the family construction business. Today, he says there is nothing more rewarding than seeing satisfied customers enjoy something FCS has built.

In early 2025, Jeff Williamson, Affiliate Member, joined the company after hiring FCS to build a workshop at his home. Impressed with Jason’s craftsmanship and work ethic, Jeff brought his decades of leadership experience to the growing business.

Jeff previously spent 23 years with Davis, Pickering and Company in Marietta, OH, serving 12 years as President before retiring in 2017. He now manages the administrative side of FCS, creating a strong partnership that blends hands-on building expertise with seasoned business management.

Together, Jason and Jeff provide a balanced, client-focused approach to every project.

Networking and relationships were key reasons FCS joined the MOV HBA. They value the knowledge, friendship, and experience of fellow members and appreciate opportunities like the Home Show to connect directly with customers.

Their membership has already led to collaboration with other HBA members — including project partnerships that began at the recent MOV HBA Home Show

FCS shares that the welcoming and supportive environment of HBA of MOV has been a tremendous boost to their business. From board leadership to industry collaboration, they are proud to be part of the Association. We leave you with a strong line of advice from our owner:

“Start slow and focus on quality. Everything else will fall into place when you enjoy what you do.” — Jason Ferris

NCWVHBA MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

For the past 4½ years, Phillip Garber has been proudly serving North Central West Virginia and surrounding regions through Bruceton Power Washing and Bruceton Blacktop. What started as recognizing a need for professional exterior cleaning services in his community has grown into a trusted business serving North Central WV, Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Western Maryland — and traveling for larger projects when needed.

Bruceton Power Washing provides commercial and residential exterior cleaning services, including homes, buildings, roofs, decks, windows, gutters, and concrete cleaning and sealing. On the asphalt side, Bruceton Blacktop offers repairs, sealcoating, crack sealing, and line striping. Phillip and his team specialize in concrete and asphalt cleaning and sealing, helping property owners protect and extend the life of their surfaces while enhancing curb appeal.

Phillip’s entrepreneurial advice is simple but powerful:

“There is never a good time to start — you just need to start!”

Phillip joined the North Central West Virginia Home Builders Association after being invited by members whose core values aligned with his own. After speaking with HBA members, he quickly realized the association does great things for the community — something that strongly reflects his business philosophy.

He works alongside fellow members, including Kitchens & Baths by Design(Aaron Dickerson), Sunset Outdoor Supply (Barry Frey), and Titan Roofing(James Sander).

Through his membership, Phillip has benefited from valuable networking opportunities, business growth, and the ability to collaborate with other professionals who share a commitment to strengthening both their industry and their communities.

Bruceton Powerwashing and Bruceton Blacktop continue to deliver quality workmanship across the region — proving that when you see a need and take action, success follows.

New and exciting changes are coming soon. We are working on a new platform, making things more user-friendly, and adding some changes. IF you would be interested in being a judge, please reach out to Jamie Burch (info@hbawv.org).You can not enter projects into awards if you are judging.

ADVOCACY IN ACTION

On February 3, 2026, HBAWV members proudly hosted a luncheon at the West Virginia State Capitol.

In attendance representing HBAWV were Kevin Roberts, President; Welford Haines, 1st Vice President; Kent Pauley, National Area Chair; Aaron Dickerson, State Representative; Doug Burch, State Director; Jamie Burch, Executive Officer; and Michael Haid, Lobbyist.

This luncheon provided an important opportunity for our members to engage directly with Delegates and discuss the issues that matter most to the residential construction industry, our workforce, and the communities we serve.

Advocacy matters. Relationships matter. HBAWV will continue to be a strong voice for housing across West Virginia. 🏠💙
