The first development is called Robbins Centre Pointe and features the razing and redevelopment of 8 acres of commercial property between US-31 and 172 nd Avenue. This Planned Unit Development (PUD) is proposing five new buildings with a total of about 66,000 square feet of new commercial and retail space.

The second development is the redevelopment of 11.5 acres of commercial and industrial land located immediately east of the D&W grocery store and will contain a 132-unit apartment complex with a clubhouse, pool and enclosed garages. This development is unique because the developer is proposing to partner with Gracious Grounds and dedicating some of the apartments for people with disabilities.

Because these developments will be constructed along Robbins Road, which is a City owned street, the Township and City Planning Commission have met jointly to ensure that these developments are designed in a fashion that will compliment the City’s Master Plan. For example, the City requested that the Township install sidewalks on the south side of Robbins Road between 168 th and 172 nd Avenue.
