February 2025 Newsletter

Springvale Public Library

 Announcements:

We will be closed on Monday, February 17th for Presidents’ Day.

Tax season is here. We have federal tax forms. You will find them in the lobby. We are happy to print any tax forms you require at the main desk. Copies are .25 per side for black and white and .50 per side for color. Taxes are due by April 15, 2025. The IRS strongly suggests e-filing as well as filing as early as possible to avoid identity theft. Visit the IRS website at IRS.gov for more tips to help.

It’s still winter and that means the possibility of the S-word. Don’t forget that we have snowshoes in the   Library of Things. If the weather gets too bad, you will hear about closings on the local news channel as well as on our social media pages.

From the Staff:

This month at Shaws Market, we are the non-profit chosen for their “Give Back Where It Counts” reusable bag program! The library will get one dollar for every three dollar bag sold at the Sanford Shaws Market during the month of February. Thank you for thinking of us while getting your shopping done!

Our 5th Annual Online Auction is coming again this April 14 – 20! We had such great items at the last auction, and we’d like to have even more.  If you’d like to contribute gift cards, experiences, or gift baskets, we’d love to include them.

This month love is in the air! The Goodall Cabinet will have some great vintage valentines on display, and the monthly spotlight bookshelf is all things romance. Find your next hot read there!
