This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Senior Nutrition Program! Senior Nutrition Programs are the largest program under the Older Americans Act. Since inception, Senior Nutrition Programs have provided millions of meals and created opportunities for older adults to stay healthy, active and independent.

AIHS offers a robust Nutrition Program offering three main services to meet the nutritional, social and wellness needs of older adults in northeast Indiana. Learn more below:
Home Delivered Meals
Home-Delivered Meals, best known as Meals on Wheels, is for homebound individuals 60 years of age and older. Our Nutrition Drivers deliver packages of 5 or 7 meals to your home each week. These meals meet 1/3 of the Nutritional Value required by the FDA.
Congregate Dining
Congregate Dining is for active seniors 60 years of age and older able to safely transport to and from the dining site. Meals are provided at lunch time at 5 sites in northeast Indiana. These congregate settings allow for individuals to receive a meal and enjoy each others company. These meals meet 1/3 of the Nutritional Value required by the FDA.
Restaurant Vouchers
Restaurant Voucher program is our newest nutrition service. This service is for community-dwelling seniors 60 years of age and older who are still active in the community. Meals are provided at 8 restaurants in northeast Indiana. These vouchers allow the freedom of no set schedule when choosing to redeem. The meals are on a specialized menu and meet 1/3 of the Nutritional Value required by the FDA.
Each service within our Nutrition Program has a unique set of eligibility requirements and features. To learn more about each program, you can visit our website or
