Falls are a Public Health Crisis
Everyone is at risk of falling.

The World Health Organization says falls are the leading cause of accidental or unintentional injury deaths worldwide.

In all regions of the world, death rates from falls are highest among adults age 60 and older.

New research shows both core strengthening and cognitive therapy can help in fall prevention.
Community Partners in Fall Prevention
Parkview Falls Clinic

The Parkview Falls Clinic is designed to identify and help correct the source of an individual's fall risk. They use a multidisciplinary approach which means they have doctors, pharmacists, therapists and even a member of AIHS' Aging & Disability Resource Center to assist with community resources on-site during your assessment.
Overcome the Stigma!
Tell your healthcare provider if you have fallen. Once you report a fall or a worry about falling, you and your healthcare provider can address the underlying causes and lower your risk of falling, or falling again.

If you have fallen once, you're twice as likely to fall again.
