The Campus Kitchen at Auburn University volunteers twice a week to repackage meals to be distributed to students facing food insecurity. This semester, the program moved into a new space in Lupton Hall after spending 10 years working in Toomer Hall on the Hill. Lupton Hall offers the volunteers more available space to be able to recycle and redistribute food.
The Campus Kitchen works to fight food insecurity in the Auburn and surrounding communities by accepting donations of unserved food from campus dining locations and creating nutritious meals to be distributed to people who need it. This program also offers service opportunities for university students, allowing them to get engaged as well as make a difference in their community.
