Wednesday, February 5 at 5:30 PM
& Wednesday, February 19 at 6:00 PM
Whether you've just finished the first draft of your first chapter and want to go to the next step, need to make the finishing touches on a manuscript, or you're just getting started, one of the best ways to keep going is to work with a group of other writers with their own projects and pursuits to keep you motivated. Bring a printed chapter of anything you've been writing to start with. We commit to reading at least one group member's writing outside of the
library before the next meeting. This way we can cover more ground together.
Make 2020 the year you're ready to get serious about getting published.

Mystic Conversations on Race: An Intentional Book Club
|
|
Tuesday, February 25 at 6:00 PM
Sponsored by St. Mark's Anti-Racism Task Force (StART)
Race informs our everyday lives, whether we are painfully aware of blissfully unaware of that. This intentional book club is intended for people who understand that the toxicity of historic and contemporary racism must be confronted... in our hearts, in our minds, and in our communities. In this book club, we will reflect on texts (fiction and nonfiction), films, and podcasts on race, racism, and white supremacy. We will create a "safe space" to discuss ugly and uncomfortable issues, with the intent of building our individual and collective courage to help dismantle racism. The times call for no less from us.
