Grant Applications Accepted Starting February 10

The city will be accepting grant applications for the Community Enhancement & Investment Fund from individuals, organizations, and community partners interested in enhancing the community. Applications will be accepted starting Monday, February 10. Learn more

City Implements $6 Million Stormwater Pump Station Improvements

The city is in the final phases of a $6 million Stormwater Pump Station Improvements Project, which will strengthen pump stations to withstand power outages and severe weather, reducing flooding risks, enhancing reliability, and protecting neighborhoods during extreme storms. Rancho Cordova Animal Services Launches Pet Food Pantry to Combat Pet Hunger

The Animal Services division is thrilled to introduce the Pet Food Pantry, a new initiative designed to ensure that every pet in the city has access to food. This program, supported by generous grants, community donations, and a valuable partnership with the Rancho Cordova Food Locker, has already made a remarkable impact by providing 12,000 meals to animals in just one month of outreach. RCPD Conducts Successful Retail Theft Operation

Recently, RCPD personnel from several departments, with assistance from Sac County Probation officers, conducted a retail theft operation in the Folsom-Olson-Zinfandel shopping center. In total, the teams made 11 felony arrests under the new Proposition 36 law, issued four misdemeanor citations, and recovered $5,732.48 in stolen merchandise. Learn more

RCPD understands that mail theft continues to affect the region, and RCPD continues to do what it can to prevent it. Although the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) handles the primary reporting and investigation responsibility for mail theft, RCPD frequently assists in these investigations. Learn how to report and security tips
