Help Shape the Future of Walking, Biking, and Rolling in Rancho Cordova

The City of Rancho Cordova continues to work side by side with our community to improve how people walk, bike, and roll throughout our city. After months of listening, learning, and refining ideas together, the interactive draft Active Transportation Plan (ATP) is now open for public comment, marking the final opportunity for the community to share input before the plan is finalized and presented to City Council for adoption.

Cordova High Students Partner with the City of Rancho Cordova and SMUD through AI Innovation


The City of Rancho Cordova is supporting local high school students in city-funded AI programs as they present AI projects built for Rancho Cordova and SMUD. Since September, 32 local students have participated in an artificial intelligence program to demonstrate how early exposure to technology can lead to real-world impact.

FREE Falkon Robotics Program Registration Now Open


Supported by the City’s Community Enhancement and Investment Fund, the Falkon Robotics Youth Robotics Program runs from March 11 through April 29. Using the VEX Robotics platform, students will build hands-on STEM skills while collaborating to design and construct their own robots. This FREE program takes place at W.E. Mitchell Middle School every Wednesday from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. and is open to students in grades 4 through 8. Registration is now open!

Applications for the Community Pride Scholarship Now Open!


The City of Rancho Cordova is proud to award

two $1,250 Community Pride Scholarships

to graduating high school seniors who

demonstrate outstanding community service,

leadership, and academic excellence. The Community Pride Scholarship was created and is

funded by City of Rancho Cordova employees, with

support from the City of Rancho Cordova, which

matches $1 for every hour city employees volunteer

within the Rancho Cordova community. All application materials must be received by 5 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026.

Free Pet Vaccine & Microchip Clinics Dates for 2026


The City of Rancho Cordova Animal Services Division is offering free drive-thru rabies vaccines and microchips for pets belonging to Rancho Cordova residents throughout 2026. Appointments are required and open two weeks prior to each clinic date. Clinics are held from 8 AM - 12 PM at Neighborhood Services, 2880 Gold Tailings Court.

Each year, thanks to generous sponsors, partners, and a portion of Airshow ticket proceeds, the California Capital Airshow awards scholarships to students pursuing education in aviation, aerospace engineering, environmental science, airport management, aircraft maintenance, aviation safety, and other STEM fields.
