Upcoming Recitals:

Congratulations to the following students for special recognition or awards!

Elizabeth Matz won first place out of several students in the solo competition at the Holmen "Gathering of the Stars" show choir competition. She also was one of five selected "outstanding soloists" from about twenty finalists chosen by Luther College faculty at the Dorian choir festival. There were about 200 that auditioned from the group of approximately 900 students! Elizabeth is also a flute and piccolo finalist for the Adolph “Bud” Herseth Scholarship at Luther College. The first place winner will receive four years of free tuition! Elizabeth studies piano with David Reedy, cello with Randy Mastin, flute and piccolo with Mona Gardner and voice with Doreen Athnos.

Ethan Yao, Max Liu and Matthew Nian, (piano students at Reed Music Studios,) are part of the Onalaska Middle School MathCounts team that took first place at the Western Wisconsin Chapter competition. The team will compete next month at the state event in Sheboygan, WI. Additional congratulations to Ethan Yao for winning first place in the Countdown Round - Max Liu took third place and Matthew Nian took eighth place. Ali Abidi is the math team coach and he studies the violin at our studio.

Two voice students of Denise Rivera received recognition for vocal solos at their recent show choir solo competitions. Cooper Koepke won first place at an event in Eau Claire, and Ella Stacey took third place on two separate occasions, in Sparta and Sauk Prairie. Great job, Cooper and Ella!
