SONG OF THE MONTH

The song of the month for February will be “To Be Loved This Way” by Bryan Sirchio.

FROM OUR MUSIC DIRECTOR

Hello Trinity Community,

February Greetings to everyone! I hope the New Year has brought some positivity to your life. It seems to have started off strong for many and our church life has a rejuvenated feel, buzzing with hope and inspiration for what is to come. One unique opportunity to mark in your calendar is Ash Wednesday. We hope you can join us for a Devotion-Style Service with scripture and song on February 22nd at noon.

Our Hand Bell Choir and Adult Voice Choir will make a few appearances throughout the next few months, but will be devoting much rehearsal time for Easter Sunday. I am hoping to have small groups and soloists from our congregation and community perform for the Special Music moments in our weekly services. If this is something the Lord is calling you to do, or if you have a request for a specific song or person to sing, let me know and I will do my best to make it happen. No gift of talent is too small to present for the worship of God!

If you’re still looking for something “new” for the New Year, why not give it a try with the Trinity Adult Voice Choir? Weekly rehearsals will be on Sundays at 11:30am in the 2nd Floor Parlor Room beginning on February 5th. We will begin preparations for the Lent and Easter seasons which will include a Sunday Anthem in March, as well as Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday. If you have any questions or need more information, please reach out to me via email: [email protected]

Keeping our vision on the future, I continue to brainstorm ways to extend the reach of the Trinity Music Ministry. The Worship Band, Adult Voice Choir, and Hand Bell Choir are wonderful ways for people to share music for the Lord; however, these groups are not available to Children and Youth. I feel the next step in growing our Music Ministry should be a Children’s Choir or Youth Choir. I do not yet have a complete vision of how we could establish this type of program, but I believe with collaboration with many of you and discussions on possible program structures could help this come to fruition. Please let me know if you would like to help in this manner.

As an Open & Affirming/Affirming & Welcoming Congregation, Trinity Church has become a beacon of God’s Love in this world battling hate. I am thankful to work with a community that values traditions and wisdom as equally as new ideas and risks. We are all here for a reason!

Until We Meet Again,

Scott Arnold (he/him)

Music Director of

Trinity Church of Northborough

FROM OUR FAITH FORMATION DIRECTOR

It has been wonderful to see kids signing up for our programs! We will continue next month by sharing a children's time during our church service. It was an exciting month with and for our youth!

Our Community A.C.T.S group is hard at work! They are now working on their next project to help our local community with Period Poverty. 1 in 5 students in the US do not have access to period products on a monthly basis. 4 out of 5 of those students miss school because of their lack of access to these products.

Our Goal: was to raise $5,000 by 1/31/23 and be able to help 500 students.

These donations will be given to the Northborough Schools, Northborough Food Pantry and the Northborough Library.

Thank you to all those in the Trinity community that donated. We were able to make 293 kits and had an extremely successful event!

We need your help! In order to run a variety of programming for our youth we need volunteers. Do you enjoy being around our littlest members, love to dig in and make a difference in the community or Is it more your speed to help decorate the trinity altar as part of our new altar-scaping or telling a story during our children's moment? Please reach out to Sherry at [email protected] or 508-254-2217

PASTOR PARISH RELATIONS COMMITTEE

Our monthly meetings include a time of sharing within the group and a discussion of timely matters, mainly concerns expressed by members of the congregation. Committee members and contact information are listed here:
