February is celebrated in our culture as the month of LOVE.
This month during worship and sermon time we’ll be focusing on love in these ways:
- Sunday, February 4 – Loving God
- Sunday, February 11 – Loving Yourself (in conjunction with the WISE Team)
- Sunday, February 18 – Loving Your Neighbor (in conjunction with ONASJ)
- Sunday, February 25 – Loving Creation
I hope the messages and worship services this month will benefit us in our spiritual growth as we grow in love!
Blessings,
Will

Ash Wednesday Service - February 14, 2024 at 12:00pm. | |
Hello Trinity Church Community!
I hope 2024 has been off to a good start for you and you have been able to find a rhythm of life that brings your happiness. When we work to keep Joy in our life, the daily struggles seem a little less cumbersome. I thank God almost everyday for the gift of music and the Joy it brings me. Have you ever stopped to think about what brings you Joy? Let that be your light and guide as we continue through the New England Winter.
Here is a quick look at what special music February will bring us:
- February 4th - Adult Voice Choir will perform a lively version of the African-American Spiritual “Halle, Halle, Hallelujah”
- February 11th - Worship Band will provide music for the service, featuring some Praise & Worship standards and a powerful song entitled “Revelation Song” for the Special.
- February 18th - The Hand Bell Choir will be presenting a fun arrangement of “Somebody’s Knockin’ at your Door” of the Prelude. AND the Adult Voice Choir will sing “Be Thou My Vision” for the Anthem.
- February 25th - The Low Voice Ensemble will make another appearance to bring to us a beautiful song called “This is My Prayer” for the Special Music. If you are interested in joining us, let me know and I can send you resources to help you get started!
Our Song of the Month for February will be a wonderful Praise Chorus by Brian Sirchio called “Spirit Come”. It brings a comforting flow of phrases and simple rhythms so that every word is important. Check out the words below and listen to a recording example I made for the Worship Band to use for practice. It’s not perfect, but it can give you a good idea of how it will go.
Spirit come, Fall on us anew,
Open up our hearts As we worship you
God of Love, everyday your mercy falls like rain
We give thanks for your ever flowing streams of grace
And for a Sung Benediction, we will sing a portion of a 1970’s hymn called “Bind Us Together with Love”. Click HERE to listen to a version of this song to get familiar ahead of time.
I often get asked how I’m able to do the many things I do, and my answer is usually “Joy”. Music is part of many aspects of my life and I’m grateful I get to share it with my Trinity Community. May we continue to share one voice of praise and one heart of worship toward the God of All!
Until We Meet Again,
Scott Arnold (he/him)
