Spiritual Equipping That Leads to Transformative Reentry
TUMI (The Urban Ministry Institute) has designed affordable, orthodox, and practical resources for the urban church, including leadership development, church renewal, spiritual formation, and pioneer mission. This curriculum is not exclusively designed for reentry, but it has provided a God-ordained path to rehabilitation and restoration to thousands of inmates who rediscover their purpose through the 16-module training.

TUMI produces innovative ministry resources designed especially for use in the urban church worship and ministry setting. They offer a rich array of tools and training materials to help churches and movements to equip leaders for effective ministry. From new Christians to seasoned leaders, from fledgling churches to mature movements, they have a broad portfolio to help potential laborers mature in Christ and prepare for fruitful ministry.

Serving USA sponsors the delivery of TUMI through its partnership with Prison Fellowship and 10 other partner organizations in prisons across 11 States throughout the country.

Best Regards,

It is with great sadness that we communicate the passing of Clef Irby. Clef was Serving USA’s Vice President of Transformational Programs, where his leadership, vision and passion have left an indelible mark. Clef has been with us from Day One and we would not be who we are or where we are without his invaluable contributions.

Prior to his employment at Serving USA, he was the Regional Executive Director for Prison Fellowship in Southern California where he served in that position for 14 years. Clef also served as President of Live the Difference Ministries. Additionally, Clef was a Senior Pastor for a total of 15 years in four different churches located in California and Colorado. Clef was an alumnus of both Azusa Pacific University and Crestmont College. Clef and his wife Anna have been married over 35 years and have raised 4 boys.

He will be missed dearly by all.
Lorrie had been abusing drugs and alcohol for 27 years by the time she entered Heritage House, a drug treatment program for women. "Growing up, I was around it all the time - it just seemed normal to me."
