Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Public Service Announcement (PSA) Videos Available

In collaboration with the HPV Vaccination Task Force and the Colorado Cancer Coalition, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) developed two PSA videos about the safety and benefits of HPV vaccination. The videos feature an oral health champion and a cervical cancer survivor's perspective, and provide an overview of the current HPV vaccine recommendations and the role of HPV prevention as a cancer-reducing strategy.


The videos are currently available in English on the CDPHE PSA YouTube page. Spanish versions will be available soon

Breast Cancer in Colorado: State of the State Data Discussion


What does state data tell us about breast cancer in Colorado? As part of the Colorado Cancer Coalition’s Breast Cancer Task Force Educational Series, Dennis Wright II, MPH, Lead Cancer Epidemiologist at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), breaks down what you need to know about breast cancer incidence, mortality, and screening in Colorado, including where to access the data yourself. Virtual Exercise Research Study Opportunity for Cancer Survivors


CSU is conducting a virtual exercise research study for people living with and beyond cancer.  The goal of the SURGE (Survivors Uniting for Remote Guided Exercise) Study is to understand how virtual exercise programs can improve health and well-being in cancer survivors. 


The study is open to individuals with any cancer type across the U.S., and participants will be compensated for their time. 

CSU is currently recruiting individuals who: 

  • Diagnosed with cancer in the past 5 years 
  • Completed primary cancer treatment 
  • Exercising less than 150 minutes/week

Lymphoma Survivors Wanted for Heart Health Study

Are you a lymphoma survivor interested in research that could improve cardiovascular care after cancer?


CU Anschutz researchers are conducting a study to better understand how chemotherapy impacts heart and artery health.

You may qualify if you:

· Are 18 years or older

· Completed chemotherapy at least 4 weeks ago

· Have not used hormone therapy in the past 12 months

· Currently not pregnant/lactating


What’s involved:

· Two in-person visits over 5 days (~5 hours total)

· Non-invasive cardiovascular testing

· $100 compensation + insights into your heart health

The Colorado Cancer Coalition relaunched the Pediatric / Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Task Force, co-chaired by Joan Slaughter from the Morgan Adams Foundation and Erica Berge, LCSW.

We’re currently recruiting Chairs for the Prostate Cancer Task Force - an exciting opportunity to shape Colorado’s cancer prevention and early detection efforts.


As a Task Force Chair, you’ll help guide collaboration among statewide partners, set priorities, and lead initiatives that advance the goals of the Colorado Cancer Plan. Chairs typically convene monthly / bi-monthly meetings, foster connections across sectors, and help elevate innovative ideas and community needs.
