February 2022 Walk Leader Update
Participant Impact Survey

We will be emailing out this survey next week. Please encourage your participants to complete this survey. If they say they didn’t receive it, please ask them to contact me by email or phone and I will get one to them.
Joanne, a walk leader in Berwick recently commented “one of my participants have told me if not for this group, her and her husband would not be out walking”. This kind of feedback is key to our program to keep us growing and funded.

Fewer forms for leaders to collect
"Welcome to your first walk" form can now be completed online as a google form. HERE This means less paper work for you! The only form participants will now need to fill out hard copy is the waiver form. Participants will be asked to complete this form before they join a walk group.
Wednesday May 11th will be Nova Scotia Walk Day!

Mark your calendars more details will follow next month. We want to celebrate walking in our beautiful province and also promote NS Walks as a way more people in NS can enjoy the benefits of walking. This is a day when we would love to see dozens of walks happening across NS from sun up to sun down.

Walk Leader Training

Our next walk leader training session will be held Wednesday, February 16th at 1:00 p.m. Please share with anyone who might be interested in getting trained including your participants. Please let them know they can train to be a walk leader and still stay as part of your group. They don't have to go off and form their own group. Having several leaders per group is one of the ways the Scotland program sustains itself.
HERE is the link to register.
Please keep in touch

We would love to hear from you anytime on how things are going or to answer any questions you might have. Feel free to email, call, post on our Leader's Facebook Page.
