Cardiovascular disease is the umbrella term for all types of diseases that affect the heart or blood vessels including coronary heart disease, heart attacks, and stroke.

About 11% of American adults have been diagnosed with heart disease.

The bright side is that there is a lot you can do to protect yourself from cardiovascular disease.
  • Ask your doctor about your blood pressure, cholesterol, and A1C.
  • Reduce sodium in your diet; increase fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
  • Meet physical activity guidelines.
  • Don't smoke.
  • Manage your stress - exercise, meditation, and stress coping programs are great for this.
  • Stay up to date on your risk of diabetes.

Recordings of sessions will be sent out via email to participants and also posted on our website. While live attendance and participation is encouraged to create an engaging experience, programs can be experienced via the recordings and will count towards 2022 Program Incentive Attestations.
