MEET LORENA - YOUTH SPOTLIGHT
Lorena is excited about going away to college next year and realizing her dream of becoming a designer and illustrator, which was largely inspired by her participation in LAYC's Digital and Media Arts Program.
DONATE YOUR MEMORIES, YOUR PHOTOS AND YOUR BIRTHDAY TO LAYC FOR OUR 50TH BIRTHDAY
LAYC is commemorating 50 years of service to our community... and we'd like you to be part of the celebration! Are you an LAYC program alumni or former staff member? Share with us your pictures, memories, and success stories. Email us at info@layc-dc.org, and we'll share them on social media and anniversary events throughout the year.

And please join us in creating a special birthday fundraiser for LAYC. On your birthday, post the following link on your Facebook page and ask your friends, colleagues, and family to donate in your honor: http://www.layc-dc.org/50thbirthday/. YOU have helped make our first 50 years great-help us reminisce and celebrate this important milestone!

DONOR SPOTLIGHT: NICOLE HANRAHAN

In January, 2018, tragedy touched one of LAYC's own: Nicole Hanrahan, Executive Director of LAYC Career Academy Public Charter School and former LAYC Chief Strategy Officer and Interim Chief Operating Officer, experienced a devastating fire at her home. In her family's time of need, however, Nicole and her husband's thoughts turned to how they could help others.
